Context
The Olive & Ash films introduce furniture through atmosphere, pacing and personality. In a short promotional format, the product needs to be recognised quickly without losing the context that makes it appealing. The visual sequence must present an individual piece while also communicating the brand.
I worked on editing, pacing and visual communication for the films shown. The portfolio includes pieces such as Seville, Riviera and Carlton. This case examines the available films: product framing, relationships between shots and the narrative within a promotional format.
Reading and interaction flow
An editorial synthesis of the presented materials, prepared for this case. It is not a documented production or research workflow.
- Establish atmosphere
- Introduce the piece
- Show details
- Close with the brand
Min rolle
Video editing, pacing and visual communication.
Problem
Present the Seville sofa as the protagonist of a story in a vertical format for digital communication.
Constraints
Research
Options considered
Decisions & why
The same product moves through interiors with different colours and personalities. Editing, short phrases and typography build the pace of the presentation.
A reading of the presented artefacts, not a reconstructed research or testing process.
Components & system
The system here is audiovisual: framing, product scale, editing rhythm, transitions and brand signature. Comparing the films makes continuity and variation visible. Storyboards, editing iterations and export specifications should only be presented as original process when those artefacts are available.
Outcome
A product film for the Seville collection. The film retains the original soundtrack and vertical framing.
